Methlick Beaver Cubs came to visit Skelmonae Windfarm in May 2010 and to learn about how electricity can be generated by using the power of the wind. The children were very interested to get close to the turbines and even look around inside the towers – many commenting on how quietly the blades turned.
Thanks received from Ythanbank Community Club for our £500 donation

In response to a donation of £500 from Skelmonae Windfarm Ltd towards renovation of the door and windows of Ythanbank Community Hall, we received a letter of thanks from Sandy Milne, the Chairman of Ythanbank Community Club.
The hall is a well-used venue for local meetings, fundraising events, dance classes, children’s parties, indoor bowling, coffee mornings, WI activities, karate lessons, and other community events.
Skelmonae Windfarm Ltd has received a letter of thanks and details of the work undertaken in 2013/14 to upgrade and enlarge the public football pitch in Methlick.
Our donation of £4,000 to Methlick Community Council was put towards improving the drainage, extending the pitch and levelling the surface, which previously was prone to flooding and was not long enough to meet Football Club regulations.
This work has provided a much better playing surface and now enables the pitch to be used for Football Club competitions, as well as by the local school and the general public.
